• Cheerleading, for 4th thru 8th grade, starts this summer with the Wayside Wildcats Cheer Camp running Tue-Wed-Thur August 8-10, 9am-noon Tue/Wed, 9am-12:45pm Thur, at OLW.  At camp, cheerleaders will learn sideline cheers, game etiquette, and their prowl performance dance.  Bring a picnic lunch and squirt gun for Thursday; we will provide popsicles and outdoor games from 12-12:45pm.

  • Registering for cheerleading includes both the August 8-10 camp as well as the full 2023-24 season of cheerleading.  Attending the camp is highly encouraged.  In the fall, cheerleaders will meet one day a week directly after school, as well as once a month on weekends to prepare for performances. All practices will be scheduled in advance. Cheerleaders will perform several times throughout the school year including the Prowl, Halloween assembly, Advent assembly and at the Catholic Schools week pep assembly. Girls will also sideline cheer and perform at halftime at 5 basketball games and pack the gym. We also have several fun and team bonding events including a buddy game night, Christmas party and end of season cheer party and awards. 

  • Cost of $100 includes both camp and the full 2023-24 season of cheerleading.

  • For new members, there is an additional $35 fee for shirt and bow which will be collected at a later date.

  • Cheer team mom collects $15 per family for parties and Christmas accessories to offset the cost from the coaches.
